In Motion is River Physio’s core rehabilitation service. Whether you’re preparing for surgery, recovering from it, or working through a neurological condition, we build an individualised program around where you are now and where you want to get to.
Your program may draw on manual therapy (including the RPG Souchard method and cervical/TMJ techniques), tailored exercise prescription, postural correction, and dynamic functional approaches — including PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) and integratory system techniques to support functional recovery.
Conditions we work with
- Joint replacement recovery (shoulder, hip, knee) and arthroscopic surgery rehab — progressive strengthening and mobility to restore function after surgery
- Spinal surgery recovery — graded return to movement with postural support and pain management
- Post-trauma and fracture rehabilitation — rebuilding strength and confidence after injury
- Cervicalgia and complex cervical spine issues — manual therapy and targeted exercise for neck pain and dysfunction
- Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) issues — manual therapy and exercise approaches for jaw pain and movement restriction
- Postural dysfunction (spine, pelvis, lower limbs) — assessment, corrective exercise, and education
- Stroke recovery — neurological rehabilitation focused on regaining movement, balance, and daily independence
- Parkinson’s disease — exercise-based management to support mobility, balance, and quality of life
- Spondyloarthritis (SpA) — movement and exercise programs to manage stiffness and maintain function
- Spasticity following botulinum toxin treatment — rehabilitation to maximise functional gains post-injection
- Movement disorders — individualised exercise and functional training
- Bone health concerns — safe, progressive loading and strengthening programs
What to expect
Your first session includes a thorough assessment — we’ll look at your movement, strength, pain, and function, and talk about what matters most to you. From there, we design a program that progresses with you, adjusting as your body responds. You’ll always know why we’re doing what we’re doing and how it connects to your goals.
