Tatiana is a senior physiotherapist with over 25 years of experience. Her practice spans orthopaedics and manual therapy, adult neurological rehabilitation, aged care and falls prevention, carer and manual-handling training, women’s health across motherhood and menopause, and paediatric rehabilitation — including post-operative care and sports development for children and teens returning to sport.

Trained in São Paulo, Brazil, Tatiana has postgraduate training in manual therapy methods including the RPG Souchard Global Postural Education method and the Maitland technique. Her research on gait biomechanics in people with diabetic peripheral neuropathy is published and available on ResearchGate.

She has worked across hospital and community settings in São Paulo, Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, and Wollongong. From 2009 to 2017 she tutored overseas physiotherapists preparing for Australian Physiotherapy Council clinical exams, and has presented at physiotherapy and biomechanics symposiums in Brazil, Portugal, and Germany.

Her practice is client-centred and holistic: she combines evidence-based assessment and manual therapy with practical education and tailored exercise programs to help clients work toward meaningful functional goals, while preserving dignity and independence.

Outside work, Tatiana coaches her children’s winter soccer team, supports her boys in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and enjoys playtime with Oscar, the family cobberdog — who doubles as the River Clinical therapy dog in training.

In 2026 Tatiana will be opening private bookings to serve the Illawarra community through River Physio.
